SIA is a local-first automation platform in development. This is an illustrative preview, not a verified live installation.

Services / capabilities

One intelligence layer for the entire home.

SIA is designed to make heterogeneous homes understandable, controllable, observable, and increasingly adaptive without turning assistance tools, cloud services, or vendor bridges into hidden roots of authority.

Local control Ordinary household effects converge on one Core policy path.
Observed state SIA separates requested, attempted, observed, and reconciled state.
Multi-user Roles, zones, purpose, time, and current context shape authority.
Replaceable intelligence Models, vendors, and protocol adapters sit behind stable contracts.

SIA Core

The control plane that keeps everything accountable.

Identity, household entitlements, deterministic policy, capability resolution, command lifecycle, state, automations, and evidence meet at one ordinary-effect authority boundary.

ID

Identity & entitlement

Bind requests to an authenticated principal, installation, session, role, allowed zones, resources, and purpose before an action is considered.

PDP

Deterministic policy

Evaluate signed policy, exact resource scope, risk, privacy, platform integrity, and current state without delegating final authorization to a model.

↻

Command reconciliation

Track intent, attempt, deadline, idempotency, dispatch, physical observation, and the safe next step instead of assuming a sent command succeeded.

Spatial & ambient intelligence

A home is a place, not a flat device list.

SIA can model rooms, zones, validated boundaries, occupancy, dwell, device placement, environmental data, fenestration, and site orientation so context becomes part of automation.

Observation → inference → proposal → authority

SIA keeps these stages distinct. Spatial or learned intelligence can produce typed observations and bounded proposals, but real device effects still pass through Core policy and current-state checks.

Comfort & environment

Lighting, shades, climate, and air that respond as one system.

A canonical capability model lets comfort automations reason about conditions and goals instead of vendor-specific command syntax.

☀

Solar-aware shades

Local solar position, fenestration geometry, glare, thermal load, comfort constraints, synchronized groups, and actuator wear can inform shade intent.

72°

Climate orchestration

Temperature, occupancy, air quality, schedules, overrides, and device capability can be coordinated without requiring the WAN for basic operation.

◐

Circadian lighting

Lighting scenes can combine brightness, color temperature, occupancy, time, and explicit household preferences within the same governed automation path.

Local media plane

Camera ingestion and continuous detection are designed to stay local. Low-latency RTSP-to-WebRTC session delivery can bring live media to authorized televisions, tablets, desktops, and phones.

Media & visual intelligence

Fast, private media without a cloud recording dependency.

SIA treats raw media as local data by default. Remote viewing uses authenticated session establishment and least-data signaling rather than turning the general cloud bridge into an always-on recording proxy.

Local NVR and object detection Low-latency WebRTC delivery Display routing as a bounded capability Remote sessions re-authorized locally

Safety & security

Independent where independence matters most.

Alarm and life-safety responsibilities are designed as a separate authority plane with supervised I/O, bounded outputs, independent failure handling, and a different qualification regime from general home intelligence.

Supervised sensing Hardwired, RF, cellular, and approved environmental inputs
Alarm fusion & Core Partitions, deadlines, latching, acknowledgment, and evidence
Approved outputs Only reviewed mappings to annunciation, relays, and monitoring paths
Bounded integration to SIA Core Status and approved intents—not generic actuator handles

Optional SIA Personal Agent

A powerful assistant that still has to ask permission.

The Personal Agent can understand natural language, use principal-owned memory, research the internet, operate approved tools, and coordinate long-running tasks. It does not become a shortcut around home policy.

Understand

Interpret the resident's request, context, and permitted memory.

Plan

Create explicit task steps rather than hiding consequential work in prose.

Authorize

Bind each effect to current identity, resource scope, policy, risk, and approval.

Reconcile

Observe the actual result, record evidence, and fail closed on ambiguity.

Next step

Turn your rooms and priorities into a deployment plan.

Start with networking, device families, rooms, security boundaries, environmental sensing, media, and the experience you want SIA to coordinate.
